I am in the middle of purchasing my first rental property in Arkansas and was wondering if changing the wording of "pet addendum" to "animal addendum" would allow for the "animal deposit" and monthly "animal rent" to be collected?  

Now that Kaaren has mentioned a self-directed HSA I think I'll definitely look at that in the future, there's not quite enough saved up in there yet to make sense to invest in truly alternative assets but at some point maybe!

Definitely filing that under “things I’ll do differently next time.”About the appraisal discrepancy—it’s frustrating, but you’re probably right that it’s not a huge shock since I didn’t make any changes to the property.

I am working on these to see if theres is any way to approve them but I am wondering if my minimum requirements are too high for this area or if I should stick with it.

Not sure your living situation but something I would definitely consider if possible.
