I could have remodeled a rental for this.

I hired a GC in Louisville to do basic remodeling for our new home in Lafayette.

My background is in building, with a degree from TAMU in Construction Science, and I'm currently a project manager overseeing new construction and remodeling of high end custom homes in Houston.

I will be moving into the 1 and 1 and remodeling while living there. 

@Erwin Zelaya in my opinion, anything you can learn about home construction / improvements / remodeling / maintenance / landscaping is immensely valuable in this game.

Are they just a remodeling company with a different sales model?

It’s a 1500 sq ft apartment, we’d be taking down the walls to open the place up and creating new bedrooms, remodeling bathrooms and kitchen as well.

That said I hate remodels and I would avoid them at all costs.  

From the photos I see on the listing, it looks like it could need:-Removing wall paper and painting-Kitchen remodeling-Removing carpet - replacing with hard wood floors- Not sure about bathrooms (no photos )Note:Roof was replaced 2018 so that is good.HVAC is newWhat do you think?

Seeing the place where you made so many memories with your family trashed, and then going through the emotional turmoil of repairing and remodeling it, knowing it will eventually just get trashed again...are you prepared for that?
