Hyperinflation of the US dollar in 2016 is pretty much like a 20 team parlay hitting.

You never know what the future holds for interest rates but I'd wager they're more likely to go up than go down.

I ended up parlaying that into other investments, and I've been targeting areas that (i) have demonstrated strong historical appreciation, and (ii) have the right fundamentals for me to believe that will continue (e.g. more jobs being created than housing being developed, government infrastructure investment, etc...).

Ron, we cannot assume that inflation rate will equal average wage rate in the long term. 

I don't know the answer to that but if I were to make a wager, they aren't going to drop.  

He parlayed his education into better paying jobs, which he parlayed (through savings) into investments, and then into bigger circles, ad infinitum.

If I were a betting man, I'd wager my year's salary that this property will still be standing after 27.5 years if there is no major disaster. 

She is getting ready to take the state exam for her real estate license and hopes to parlay that into more interior design work for retail clients as well as for our investments.
