Ten years ago, going through infection control classes with my wife, I became certain that carpet would be as GONE in this country as it is in Europe after a pandemic of any size.

I have an Airbnb bought during the pandemic that has appreciated 25% in 1 year.

I purchased my short term rental (in Maine) in April 2020....minutes into the pandemic.  

My current tenant had 802 when she applied two years ago and didn't have any issues through the pandemic touch wood!  

We changed our mindsets for a variety of reasons some of them being: the pandemic, restrictions of STR with the towns (rumor is Bella Vista is next), as well seeing the market becoming flooded. 

I am not sure if it's the pandemic or something else, but it seems like all Assessors are behind, I have not gotten by new property tax yet, but know that I will have a supplemental tax bill next year because my Mortgage company has based my taxes off of old data.

However, there is no permanent shift to MTR as a lifestyle and the pandemic was a brief blip on the radar for that behavior.

I guess that I'm impressed they not only built out a model that could get with in 7% of FMV for that many homes, had an effective UX that made ppl want to use it, got a system up and running to take possession and make ready for sale that number of homes across such a geographically diverse area during a global pandemic which changed the way ppl work and lead to crazy home prices.

As well, I am proud to have somehow powered my AirBnB business through the 2020 (and beyond) Covid-19 Pandemic during a time that our industry was utterly decimated!
