If you have or can get one of the little laser thermometers they have at Lowe's, etc, test the temp right at the return (the great big vent where the air is sucked into the unit) and a nearby supply register (the little ones that blow the air).

Do you have any suggestions for attaching the structure with horizontal/diagonal beams to the house maybe?

I think you're right.The further I get into this book the more I realize the author is essentially laser focused on seller financing.

If the loan never closes they still make 7,500 and will usually vet the lender less that they will perform.If a mortgage broker gets nothing until it closes you better believe they will be laser focused on who the lender is and if they will perform.As a purchase you always need to do your own due diligence.

IMO, if Jake Kucheck is able to get his business plan put together and raises funding, then smaller companies like that, laser focused on where they are buying, have a much better chance of success.
