Hello everyone,My name is TarUWay and i've always wanted to do real estate and now I'm taking real action in order to do so.I just graduated from University and I am looking to get started with a House Hack using FHA financing in the Atlanta Metro area.

So, it’s important to do your research—check the developer’s reputation, consider proximity to jobs and schools, and look into any tax incentives.

Focus in on a city with good schools, low crime, and good jobs.

I live fairly frugally, and my student loans from med school are low as I qualified for lots of scholarships and have a great repayment plan.

Using a VA loan for a second property, where I’d move in and rent out my current home.When I made an offer on a fixer-upper (I didn’t win that bid), the loan officer mentioned it might be difficult to convince the underwriter why I’d need another VA loan for a second property in the same area, especially since the new home is almost identical to my current one (same size, age, school district, etc.).

Got any advice for someone who's still in college and wants to start rental property investing as soon as they graduate?

And a lot of start-up companies are migrating to this city as well because of the OSU campus that has thousands of talented students graduating and looking for positions locally.Everything that’s going on here in Columbus is attracting investors and other businesses from all over.

People need to feel safe in their community as well as good schools, etc.
