Majority of countries offer possibilities of buying houses and apartments, which is not what i'm looking for.If anyone has any idea or heard of any place that allows foreigners to purchase LAND somewhat painlessly, please let me know.

Hi Gideon,If you wish to minimise your FX risk while you look for properties one option is a bank that offers foreign currency accounts.

However, there are companies that specialize in foreign investments.

Do I have to create a LLC or Corp to buy & rent real estate as a foreigner?

Then found a foreign investor who purchased 2 units at retail.  

@David Greene Out of State Investor has been my favourite book lately.

Probably both.... the LLC will have to have an address (california) and have to be set up as a foreign entity to do business in Florida.
