In the US 5 Billion bananas are thrown away each year...that's 13.7 million a day-enough to feed a lot of hungry people and that is just one food item.

However, we are going back and forth on a few items and would appreciate any advice or if anyone knows who to talk to locally to find out the answers to these questions that would be great.

Therefore, your ability to re-use your money like you could in a BRRR or a flip is limited, and you are banking on the cash flow from that property or market appreciation over time to re-capture any money. 

For me the cost of the descaling is not as impactful as another maintenance item.
