It's just that syndication as a term has been hijacked in this market for a single product.It its pure form syndication is really just a bunch of folks pitching in to purchase and manage an asset (whether race horse, oil well, or apt complex).

Is it worth taking my funds to Idaho to achieve this return or should I stay close to where I live here in CA and reap minimal returns?

I have gone to two seminars from TV flipping stars out here in Southern California and can warn you that they are nothing more than an entertaining show and high pressure sales pitch to get you to buy their full plan (which others that go through it rate very poorly).

The deflection might be minimal but if you don't like that sensation you won't like a floating floor. 

Luckily there was a special provision that allowed me to pay the $65k tax over 3 years.I did my best to minimize my taxable income and stay in a low tax bracket those 3 years.

I am pitching the idea to family first, so I definitely want to be more than fair and make it a win-win for everyone involved.
