I would recommend cutting them out most likely unless, for your market, you know for sure they are earning their weight.

R/E gets stepped up when it's a direct inherit so gains should be minimal. 

@Charlie MacPherson From someone who is barely starting their real estate venture, your post holds so much weight and guidance.

If you have a 1 member LLC then I believe everything is just alone on your personal 1040 tax return on schedule E, as far as I know, and your case would be totally different from mine.Having the mortgages under my LLC made huge difference in qualifying for regular mortgages under my personal name.
