Also, my homeowners association requires our dryer vents to be professionally cleaned every other year for about $100.  

Although they did clean the carpets.

I was able to talk with him and he gave me a couple hundred dollars, left the unit broom clean and moved on. 

Toilets aren't worth it, because they are like $100 new and the effort to remove the toilet from the wax ring without breaking it and then cleaning off the wax ring to get a good seal when reinstalled just isn't worth the effort. 

Then warranties and legal recourse for work has a clean paper trail from who paid to who did the work.  

You're not trashing the packages - you are "maintaining your property" by cleaning up debris on the porch. 

We've both been very transparent and clear about money, cleaning up the building, and we both serve in the military.

Unit B gets a clean slate on your books, and it would fall on the seller to try and collect from Unit B for the previous month.
