AIRBNB activity is generally not considered passive activity anyway (no matter how you conduct it).Placing your house in a LLC does not good to you since you are renting out your personal residence. 

I agree with Ali Boone that you need to have a good team or an active investor to partner with to ensure your investments achieving the desired output.

IMO, you best bet is to define your goals, objectives, liquidity constraints, budget and time commitment (how active or passive you'd like to be).
