Not much margin there for vacancies, tenant turns, or any maintenance that does come up despite the recent remodel.

I started as a remodeling contractor working for investors just like your contempalting back in 1997.

i remodeled all three houses, added fending around the entire property, added a bathroom to each house and converted the attic spaces in two of the three houses.

Long story short I do not have a basement but the kitchen I am remodeling is over sized so I plan to install laundry in there.I just started the search for new machines and am debating on the type.

I am finishing up a home remodel/addition on my primary residence, and will have close to 100k equity in the house when done (owe about 100k, worth about 200k).

However a remodel gone wrong can wind up costing a LOT in extra $ and lost rent so just consider the condition of the property.
