You can also buy a physical mortgage calculator, or use a financial calculator.In addition to monthly PITI you will need to know (or estimate) what portion is tax & insurance, to get to just P&I.Then you'll need to know (or assume) a term (length of loan) and interest rate - that will get you from P&I to loan amount.

For example lets say the property I bought went to the auction on September and I bought it 3 months later on December, would I have the pay the taxes that accumulated over those 3 months while it was on the strike off list plus the minimum bid?

I'm willing to work in any area because I want to learn every area: marketing for sellers, talking with sellers (have done some on my own), evaluate property (I have a Realtor to help me with that), working on the actual rehab (want to learn materials, costs, how to hire the right labor, how to know what a property needs and be able to correctly estimate it on the spot, etc.), learn how to negotiate, deal with, and talk to money people, municipalities, attorneys (I have a small relationship with a closing attorney in Greensboro) and other professionals in the business.
