In my jurisdiction, this would be "too bad, so sad".

The sad part it is the sweet spot for profit as an investor in that area.   

It is just sad that some people can't keep it to themselves and feel the need to show they are somehow "morally correct" on a forum of all places.

Been managing rentals all my life...mom owned 26 units.I've owned commercial since 1999 - an easy warehouse with my brother as the only tenant.Been doing residential rentals since 2008. 16 units so far.Getting into pre-foreclosure/flip/wholesale/etc. now.Professionally, I'm a video producer/media/hologram developer, though since I can't find maintenance people as good as me (which is sad)...

They sadly aren't on BiggerPockets and won't think of doing the digging that we did.

Oddly, they have the best rate compared to small lenders in my area... that's pretty sad.

The ones who have been shut down (and their management arrested) were those who, sadly, cram four elderly in a bedroom, paid "nursing" personnel $10 a hour to monitor them and, in one sad case, gave an elderly woman in a wheelchair her shower by rolling her out into the back yard and spraying her down with the garden hose.If I were to consider renting a property to be used as an assisted living facility I would only do so if their contract was with a VA Medical Center. 

Sadly, I did not have anyone in my circle that told me this was a bad idea, oh did I mention the outrageous HOA fees that went along with it, making it a loss if I tried to rent it out? 

*end of sarcasm* sadly.....this is what most people do near my age.....
