Let them know you do not have the funds to pay them, but that you need assistance in untangling your grandmother's estate and that you can pay them from the proceeds.2) Assuming they agree and if they don't keep calling until you find someone who will do this.3) Appear in court and let them know that you are not the owner of the property, that it is still in your grandmother's name even though she passed away a few years ago, and that you have retained the services of an attorney to resolve the estate.4) Since no one is able to pay the fine they will likely place a lien on the property to be settled once you go to sell the house as part of settling the estate.5) Start contacting local investors here on BP to find out if they will do a quick cash closing in order to buy the property and settle all the back debts.
