I myself, spent the last 3 years waiting for my Army Reserves contract to end and working full time as a Corrections Officer at a high security prison for the state of MA (very stable union job), I felt that I had learned just about all there is to learn in that environment and there really was no more room for personal development.

Lenders set their rates based on their profitability metrics (internal fundamentals) and they publish those rates and their originators are given rate sheets that indicate the rates offered that day by that lender  (in a volatile rate environment, these rates might change up to several times a day).

So long as the payments are current and made consistently, lenders typically have bigger fish to fry.At least one of the gurus teaches using sandwich lease-option as a way to stave off such issues, but that might not help in this specific situation.
