I make a decent living and for the most part i enjoy the work i do (sales, project management, and some skilled labor). but with no room left for further advancement it is obvious to me that this company is not my vehicle to financial security let alone independence.

Depends on your rehab skill level and risk tolerance.  

My dream is to establish a place where the orphaned and fatherless could be given the opportunity to learn how to grow into godly men, both providing them the influence to live honorably and full of integrity, while also equipping them with everyday skills needed to break the cycle of brokeness they have previously experienced.

Money/access to money... handyman skills - sales skills - negotiation skills - or even just time.  

Am inclined to buy, hold and rent, with maybe a little rehab but at this point I don't have a lot of connections with skills.

My husband and I are so impressed with the quality of the curriculum and really enjoy seeing her learn valuable life skills while still in high school.  

It is most likely a miscommunication between roommates or some lacking math skills.
