The city of chicago had a holiday sale on some vacant lots, as well and I purchase the lot next to my new property a couple of months ago.

Holidays and cold meant that I didn't get the place leased until today.In the future I will do my best to get leases signed earlier in the year, so when I have tenant turnover I can be showing in summer when people are most likely to be looking for a new place.I know this advice is not for everyone, but it's at least something to consider.

I am going to buy some Facebook ads to drive traffic to that event (recommended here: https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/biggerpoc...) and people will be able to come, meet me, learn about how we can potentially work together, etc relax and have a little wine!

But now is the time to take some cruises and relax.
