Is Syndication still a preferred/popular platform for investors?

There are huge pros and cons w/ owning your own code (building your own site) vs. leveraging a platform like InvestorCarrot. 

AdaPia DErrico I would imagine in the coming months and certainly heading into the 16 election year, we will see regulation written that addresses marketing criteria along with regulations that will outline some minimum requirements to operate a Crowd Funding Platform.   

That is where the potential for poor performance stems from.  

An investor can use this platform to gain a general idea of a company but should ultimately reach out to that specific TK company or companies to see if there is a real connection, something you cant get just from reviewing online. 

While not perfect I am pretty happy with platform and performance in general.  

But these platforms are great if your unit / building is zoned for short-term rentals.

Even as someone who spends all day, every day thinking about BiggerPockets and constantly striving to make the community bigger and better, I still have a TON of trouble quickly explaining who and what we are to friends, family, and strangers.BiggerPockets is so huge and has so much to offer to Real Estate Investors that it sometimes seems impossible to meaningfully describe our platform to an outsider within 30 seconds or so.  

As Rodney points out, there is a lot of stuff out there and it's hard to see what is real and what is hype.There are many platforms out there and if you find what we offer resonates with you then we'd like to have you, and if not, then I'm sure there is one out there that will. 

It all stems from doing proper due diligence before buying...My definition of buy right:LOCATION : location location, Desirability, school, lot shape and size, lot location...
