If you think you are at risk, max out your liability policy, buy an umbrella policy, and if you still think you may be at risk, form an LLC (don't name it after yourself) and transfer ownership of the property into the LLC.

Then, transfer ownership of the property to the LLC. 

You just have to make sure that the distribution back into the accounts is equal to the percentage ownership/funded in the deal.  

You need to be sure they match to assure your ownership in the chain of title.
