I've seen post online that say that Section 8 will help you with the cost to remodel a home if you then place it on the Section 8 program.

BTW, I have a great agent, an 800+ credit score, a high paying tech job, no debt besides my mortgage, a home that's difficult to get a HELOC on because appraisers can't figure out what it's worth (I live in the country in a very unique mid century home), but only a small amount of cash.

I am currently interning this summer with a big home builder you may have heard of (PulteGroup) where i am working directly with construction managers.

My parents are essentially giving me 3 homes to tackle myself.  

I've found a small home builder that needs financing. 

Currently we have a home improvement/remodeling company, so the construction piece we have including many sub crews.

It may take a long time to fully solve but with the visibly and funding, there should be some improvement to the problem in the near term.So those are my 3 local picks for outperforming the local market.

I think the new lodging will be great but the newest builds are very very expensive and I suspect will be purchased more for second homes than pure investments.

These homes are close to being taken by the county for back taxes.
