Not all trades require licenses, and this varies a lot from place to place.You would usually want to have insurance, too.A good place to start would be a discussion with the building department at one of the cities where you plan to work.

My county here shows if it was sold or if it went back to the bank, but if it doesnt show on yours, I'd call your sheriff department, they can look it up for you.
