I have a 5bdrm student housing that my daughter lives in and I’m trying to rent out the other 4bdrms.

In particular i'm wondering if the areas around Hopkins (or their medical school) are good for targeting students, or if there are other neighborhoods that can be easily and consistently rented.

I am considering buying a place we can rent out either on AirBnB or to other Navy families visiting their students when we are not visiting.

I am leaning towards renting it out to college students (room by room) in order to maximize my cash flow and due to the fact that it is within a 10 minute drive to campus.

For example in NYC and to some extent in SF, vacancies have risen because of burb migration but more so because of a stop on international migration, student population that did not renew their leases and the thousands of workers in the fashion, theater, tourism industries that lost their jobs and had to flee.

Will be hard but thanks to u guys prolly will be a bit easierim physician, 33 yrs old with 7 units here in colombia, now a real state student here in BP before begin investing in january and looking to achieve a great company with a large number of quality units in florida 

I don't have much and I am in a moderate amount of debt (40k) which includes 30k in student loans.

@Kaitlin BagleyYou might consider student housing as a way to diversify your rental properties and rental strategies.   

I do see 4 bedroom houses pop up from time to time, but know form living there years ago that technically, you shouldn't have looked something like that for student rental back then.
