No problem to pay off the original note first to keep everything clear, but still not sure the best way (or if it makes sense) to add an equity partner after the fact on the other property.I have an entity I can use if needed, but could I put the property in it as a single member LLC and then "sell" him an equity interest later without triggering major tax or legal issues?

I spoke with the business section of the bank so I will put the loan under my LLC, my question is in filling out the paperwork or anything of the sort with a bank, what should I be careful of or not fill out in a way that could cause personal liability?

You can also get an FHA loan under the same terms up to 4 units must be owner occupied.Using both programs in series you can buy 8 units, have 2 mortgages and then after 2+ years but something else.You can keep both VA and FHA mortgages after you move out, you don't have to convert to conventional and can keep for 30 years until paid off.I've had multiple VA and FHA mortgages simultaneous, but buying foreclosures from VA and getting a non-owner occupied VA mortgage.

If each house is owned by a separate LLC, does this make each house fall within the 1-3 house rule so I can sell more than 3 because they are owned under separate LLCs?
