After 4 years and many flights between Europe and the US, I permanently moved to the US in October 2018 and married my wife (US Citizen).

thank you, that was the re-assurance i wanted to know if it worked out for other people. and good comments on hand rails and relatives.he called back this morning saying there was something he needed to sort out with his current rental place (was supposed to get his application and fee this morning,) so I don't know if he got cold feet for some reason, or truly have some issues. 

And still, the thought of anyone deliberately trying to keep rats around a property is just astonishing.If I were you, I'd be in that HOA woman's face first thing in the morning.

Thank you for the advice, I already have a couple networking events on my calendar and one is Saturday morning.
