If the home has windows less than 4 feet or going into the basement just glass block them in, or board it and put a piece of metal behind it to brace it.

When are options discussed with me (i.e. installing a cheap plastic faucet that may break again soon or a more expensive metal one that should last longer)?

They stole all the copper, faucets, hinges, I mean...anything metal, it's stolen.Cost of living in Atlanta is not that high.

Most likely it;s the listing agent who is not outting the pedal to the metal....... get to them and force your position.....good luck
