I live on a street where a guy died in the bathtub, in August, and was unnoticed for 12 days.

Here in Colorado Springs, an organization sets up housing for people that are transitioning off the streets.  

It's like saying "Don't get your car serviced by anyone except the dealer." yeah...you've got a car worth $20,000 but that doesn't mean the guy up the street working out of his garage behind his house isn't capable of keeping it in top running condition...even if he's NOT ASE certified.
