Fresno is surprisingly a great market for AirBnB, I know of several people that are doing AirBnb in Fresno specifically and having a lot of success.

Regardless, the location of your CPA is not as imperative as their knowledge in REI. since you are looking to grow your real estate portfolio, I would talk to a few CPAs (that specialize in REI), and, specifically, those that offer packages for tax planning.

I kind of think of this specific scenario like a Short Sale.

The architect can provide specifications for various interior and exterior finishes and materials.

You will have a larger pool of folks that say, we always like to stay at Caribe or a Phoenix property, so they will be specifically searching for those types of properties.

I invest there myself quite a bit (just bought another duplex last week) and do a ton outside my own portfolio as well.Definitely take the time to understand the market or interview several teams before working with anyone.I'm happy to shoot you some Detroit specific resources that would help a ton.
