Hey Tim, I've seen some examples of what others have done with direct mail but I don't have experience or knowledge to know how well they work.

This site is packed full of information and more importantly people willing to help out.This is a great time to be involved, just be sure to learn, but then apply that knowledge and take action!

It is really difficult to spend time in researching property overseas, but if someone found the property exhibition in a desired region would help them a lot in relation to meet the developers and real estate agents, and get first hand knowledge of about their properties and locations.

Would i be pushing it if I market myself as a Real Estate Investor even though I have not purchased any property or have that much knowledge of the biz?

I joined this site almost two years ago with absolutely NO knowledge of real estate or investing for that matter.
