I studied geological engineering for my undergraduate degree, worked with Newmont Gold Corp for some time, got bored, went to the UK to study law, worked briefly in the field and got bored as well.

I am thinking about getting my license for real estate in North Carolina.I understand there is a required 75-hour course, test, background check then a 90-hour course that needs to be taken.My question is - do I need to associate myself with a Broker-In Charge before I can switch from a Provisional License?

I’m curious on people’s thoughts on what college degree (if any) can add additional skills towards real estate investing?

Any fees associated with opening or leaving this open or closing the line of credit?

The risk associated with equipment theft isn't if someone leaves a key in since everyone has a key, it is if you don't secure the equipment or have good monitoring of your site.

I have been doing a lot of reading, joined my local Real Estate Investors Association  and getting as much education as possible. 

Can anyone direct me to either manufacturers in the Virginia area, or an industry association where I could located manufacturers/dealers?
