I found an deal that I want to make an offer on but I need to let gift funds settle for 60 days for a conventional 30 year loan in order to let the funds season, since underwriting needs to see two months of bank statements with no major deposits or withdrawals for an investment property.

That's large enough that the $14K/year IRS gift exclusion is an issue, and obviously we would prefer to arrange this so that there are no taxes paid.
