I too have found it nearly impossible to get payoff figures from banks on superior notes.Did you ever find a solution to this?

We also would like to avoid them being named as an owner to prevent them from any liability (though an umbrella policy may be the solution to that).

Also consider timers, one for a whole house fan to keep air circulating a few hours a day, and one for outside light(s), so they don't get left on all day.These aren't really wiring solutions, they can be added to almost any home's existing wiring.

The solution typically requires removal down to a solid base but I usually end up having to remove old stucco, re-wrap wire and paper after pulling permits, then scratch coat, brown fiat and color coats are applied. 

Then they discover that the bargain/speed solution didn't get them what they really wanted.  

(I realize they are part of the problem but they could also be part of the solution.).
