Milwaukee has culture, entertainment, great food, low traffic, two major sports teams (Bucks are best in the league currently),  freshwater, emerging tech startup community, a handful of fortune 500 companies, the DNC in 2020 AND you can buy a house for $100k. 

They started fortunately I sold my home before the home was foreclosed on.

When we bought our 4 plex in LA our goal was to pay less than $1000 a month on housing, fortunately we were able to live for free.

Fortunately nobody was hurt. 

But if I’m fortunate enough to have four flips going at once, then they’re all at risk under a basic LLC.

I was fortunate because he was patient with me while going through this!

I've talked with many people who have made a fortune in mobile homes, so there's opportunity there, but proper financial structure and management will make or break you. 

@Robert Fisher You're fortunate to have two great choices and ditto to what Adam said. 

Fortunately the neighborhood is slowly being developed so my father-in-law has some hope for the future, it's just going to be a long road weeding out the bad tenants.

Fortunately, I was able in each case to transition into real estate and find joy and enthusiasm in it.
