Does it mean one attached dwelling and one more detached dwelling is allowed ?

A detached unit in most locations rents for a premium compared to attached units especially in cases with a private yard versus shared yard.    

I was initially planning on continuing to rent them out but the lender for that option with 15% down didn't like the fact that the homes were detached and that one of them was un-permitted.

Hello everyone, does anybody happen to know if a detached garage conversion is considered a JADU or an ADU?

I currently have one permitted detached accessory structure and detached garage on my property.

I am currently looking to have 2 long term tenants in the main house (duplex) for stability but to short term rent the 3rd unit (a detached garage conversion) to really boost the cashflow.
