James Carollo Is it harder to find contractors? Skilled trade shortage?
30 October 2019 | 38 replies
The simple business model where an owner lives in a big house, extracts value from their employees/1099s, practices multi generational nepotism, and encourages unethical business practices by bidding 30x projects at 400% margin to get that one project from poor ol Betty Sue - this is what needs to change to get more ethical and capable entrants into the trades.Anecdotally I haven't really noticed reduced supply in my market, but we've developed some helpful relationships over time with our go-to plumber, among others.I think your paragraphs above speaking to what “contractors” and “working for contractors” are like is a strong stereotype that really does ring true.

Buyan Thyagarajan Best websites to get tenants for a rental property in delaware
28 October 2019 | 3 replies
@Buyan Thyagarajan hi, my favorite sites are apartments.com (which auto posts to a few others), zillow.com (which auto posts to a few others) and i actually still use craigslist although it has gone downhill a bit recently. make sure you have quality pictures. it is usually worth hiring a professional photographer. good pictures are a game changer.also, making your written text attractive and more readable is important too. for example, if i hadn’t of broken up this message to you into three parts and just left it a big huge paragraph, it’s far less attractive to the reader.
