I am assuming some single-man shops may have tax folks that still have the license to do audits from working at a big firm earlier in their career.  

I am excited to work on getting a real estate career started in a great city.

But to have a successful investment career needs a deep understanding of how to evaluate properties.

You're background in remodeling project management is going to prove invaluable to you as you grow in your real estate investing career.  

In an attempt to lay the foundation of my real estate career, I'm meeting a loan officer who works with REI's in a couple weeks. 

I do agree there are some hot areas of HOUSTON  no doubt, but there are other areas that I have investors buying as much as they can because people are out bidding each other in one spot and taking their eye off the proverbial ball.You make money I feel 5 ways in real estate (as a disclaimer I have messed up personally buying wrong in each of these categories at one point in my investing career):-)...1.

I'm currently practicing dental hygiene part-time (2 days each week), and while I LOVE what I do, the physical strain of my career has begun to take it's toll after 14+ years. 

I see my friends' careers blossoming and as happy as I am for them, the thought of completing school and heading to a 9-5 is dreadful.
