Would you recommend someone starting their RE journey who wants to primarily do buy and hold, Brrrr, and flipping (secondary) to apply for a sole proprietor or start an LLC from the start?

I'd like to join a group that shares experience and bounces ideas. 

It always a good idea to try to sort out the problems you are having with existing professionals first.

I currently have a California LLC that holds the property I will do a 1031 exchange on next year and purchase properties in South Carolina.

I am looking to get into the real estate world in the short term with the idea of "house hacking" a duplex-quadplex with an FHA loan to start in the world of landownership.

Separately, I have 50% ownership of an LLC that holds real estate on which we are building a new investment property. 

He is more likely going to go back to school for a master's and/or find a fulfilling career, but we have no idea what that will look like or how much money he will make.
