Hello biggerpockets members, I am a newbie at this whole real estate investing thing and I keep getting that awful feeling like I am wasting my time on Zillow/realtor/Trulia etc.

Personally, seems a waste of time and money.  

you will be surprised by how much time you can waste on the phone with people that wont even qualify. for instance, all my ads say no pets. 

The seller refuses to allow an inspection because he insists it’s a waste of time and money and the home inspector is not qualified to determine the serviceability or life of the mechanicals.

Atlanta is a great market; even with the appreciation over the last few years there are still solid fundamentals.

As I will continue to utilize BP to gain knowledge and make solid connections, I'm optimistic with finding and completing my first deal. 

Now I don’t waste my time collecting points.

I have property in NJ that I am trying to move & often times have calls from alleged buyers that basically are wasting your time.
