I put in the request to refi the loan at $500k, meaning for an LTV of 80% I need the appraisal to come in at $625k.

If you put down 10% the seller will probably get nothing, it will all go to selling costs.

My question is, if we buy this property with all cash and later, refinance with the bank, will the bank allow me to put the loan in my name only (assuming I qualify with just my income)?

Personally I would not put all my eggs in one basket, especially if I "fell into this position"

I'm going to look at 3 more properties tomorrow and after getting a better handle on numbers in the last few days, we should be putting in some offers very shortly!

Remember , once you put in furniture , and some rugs you dont see that much floor .   

If you have any doubt about it being occupied or not you could put a notice at the door and say that its your property and that you will enter on a given date.You probably should provide a phone number so people may  call you. 

I would try to put yourself around the industry as much as possible.

You bought it for $33k, put $10k (maybe?)
