My state has started to crack down on it as well. they are aware of the issues you talk about the U tubes the guru's etc.. they will follow up on any complaint and if its deemed selling without a license then there will be action taken . which usually includes cease and desist and for first offense modest fine.But like when I was talking to someone I know in the division enforcement here in Oregon she made the point that most professions in an around building remodeling lending etc all need licenses..

I would definitely include a rental criteria (and/or tenant screening policy) with your application that outlines income and credit requirements as well as how you treat those with a criminal or eviction history.

I have been using SmartMove and am having more and more problems... ie. cannot log in at times; even though I've had an account for a few years, sometimes the log in screen tells me my account doesn't exist;  applicants have trouble finishing the online process, etc.What other companies have you had good success with for the credit, criminal and eviction reports?
