It seems like there are strong opinions about an LLC, multiple LLCs, series LLCs, Something in Delaware, offshore accounts, umbrella polices but I have yet to see any actual data on the topic.  

Offshore CaptainHusband is currently working as an offshore captainRehabbed houses in New Orleans in Orleans, Jefferson and St Tammany Parishes.Interested in Mobile, AL, Lake Hartwell area of Georgia, Gulf Coast from Gulfport MS to Key West FL, Coasta Rica, Ireland, Spain and the Caribbean.

At the same time knowing a storm could be brewing off shore and make that rule -2%.

I'm saying first half because I got sent offshore after I got half my mailers out.

As an offshore investor, it will be important to structure a local team that you trust and can depend on but also it's a good idea for you to understand the numbers and be able to analyze the deals yourself to ensure you are getting the best deals possible.

I'm curious if anyone here as done any off shore investing.

The markets where the bulk of offshore investment is happening are markets like NY, SF, LA, Honolulu, Miami, et al.  

It will let me close deal when i find one, as a offshore investor i am going to make lower offers, lesser offers and obviously get very few opportunities to buy deals, and if i do, i don't want to loose the deal because bank took 5 months to lend to a foreigner.

“Offshore” benefits: because we are separate from the IRS, we have some unique tax incentive programs unavailable in the mainland that are quite attractive.
