In Metro Atlanta, that translates to maybe a $90-120K acquisition that might rent for $1200-1400.Sadly, Atlanta real estate these days is like a mosh pit at a thrash metal concert, so I'm off looking elsewhere for numbers like these.

It does not look like mold-there is no build up visible......looks like aging or the metal surfaces.

The more modern plastic drains can probably take whatever you can put down em, but the older metal ones (and the metal under sink parts) can corrode / start leaking.

Because both components are wood, it would make for a really nice transition for the stairs to the floor instead of having to come up with something else for the transition (for instance that parquet ought to have had a metal or wood trim strip to hide the seam between the parquet and bullnose).
