Of course, there's the swings in value to be considered, as the inflow of foreign money looking for a safe parking spot has cooled off, the Venezualians who got their money out earlier were smart for sure, and the currency exchange rate has been going in the wrong direction.

I love the country and its people, but it's still very much a developing nation, and living here is definitely riskier than in first world countries.Our local currency - the Rand - has taken quite a hit in recent years, and with the emergence of the Economic Freedom Fighters (a far left political party, who basically want to nationalise the economy), I reckon it's a good time to look at investment opportunities overseas and establish a bit of a safety net for our family.For now, I'm specifically interested in turn key investments.
