I am not an expert at land lording but I like it.I like to wholesale properties, I have been helping clients wholesale for about 2 years and have started doing some myself this year, By years end I will have flipped or wholesaled around 10 properties with profits execeeding $100,000.

IE, they could stop paying the land lord rent and have the funds go into an escrow account held by an independent 3rd party (how they do it in the State of WI).You could always call the owner and express interest in the property and ask if they are looking to sell and at what price.
