Thanks in large part to referrals from these forums, I found an amazing realtor in Indy and made a trip out there last week.I know there are a lot of people like me who are simply priced out of our local area but are scared to make the plunge into a distant market, so I wanted to share my experience in hopes they will take action.Joel Clausen with the Scott Smith team spent two whole days (I mean ALL DAY) showing me properties and giving me the inside scoop on the local area.

I am looking into going this route on a large Multifamily acquisition rigth now.

It is very close to Social Security Administration which is a large employer in the area.

The street cut went about 1/3 of the way across the street so it must have been a fairly large repair.The home is not in a flood zone and all the sheetrock has been removed.

North Arlington just doesn't really have a large swath that suffers from the same problem. 

I know I'm not responsible for it, but I'm a bit puzzled by the solution as the hole is large and there needs to be space for two pipes to fit through. 

However, you'll only be pushing off the taxes on the appreciation, so even if you were actually saving the money, it would take a long time and a large amount of appreciation to outweigh the costs associated with selling and buying. 

I am looking at a medium to large multifamily group of complexes in Baton Rouge.

I'm currently communicating with a local large bank, hoping to get a loan to payoff a current terrible mortgage on my house, rehab, and probably flip. 

Now that I've graduated with a good job lined up I'm finally ready to take the first steps in beginning a new journey in buy and hold real estate.I'm currently living in the Tualatin/Tigard area and working as a mechanical engineer for a large semiconductor firm.
