My job is remote so I can move anywhere, and my sister and I have plans in the works for care for my mother so that won't be a factor staying local.

Honestly, it was a great investment only because we bought it at the right time.

@Michael Plaks Could I start a project as an investment property, take the depreciation in 2024 taxes, then recapture in 2025 taxes but plan to invest in RE that year to offset the recapture?
