Jeffrey, that old trope of "buy a home at every duty station" might have been cool in the 1980s, but now the Web lets everyone invest where it makes financial sense. 

By the way, computer software that can web crawl Redfin, Realtor.com, Zillow, MLS etc. and find properties that are under market value is already being used.

There's a mother-in-law's suite in the basement that can be accessed through a separate external entrance. 

The problem is I keep running into a brick wall trying to find the info. every time I go to a state or agency web page, I have to enter the name of the person I'm looking for.
