You should be following the golden rule ... he who holds the gold rules, not he who receives the gold rules.You pretty much can't get ripped off if you have a well secured loan with title insurance. 

They also have nice reporting after the deal close with statuses and graphs on your various distributions plus tracking for tax forms.I also used RealtyMogul, RealtyShares, and FundRise.

Sure there are a hand full of investors out there who strike gold.

Craigslist is a gold mine if you're entrepreneurial like me and want to make good money quickly..

Somewhere with some kind of yard is desirable as we have two dogs.The biggest thing for us however is to have a small carriage house or a guest house or something convertible into a rentable/livable space.I like north county a lot does anyone have some good recommendations to start searching for something like this to buy in that area.

Do you have a guest policy that limits the number of days a guest can stay and what they can or can't do?

I was asked this question the other day and it is surprising that others haven't offered something like this.My sense is that the funding period for crowdfunding investments in DSTs are so uncertain the sponsor via a crowdfunded investment may inadvertently blow your tax-favored status if the timing didn't work out properly.  

You then have to prove your decision to not to them was not based on their protected class status.
