@Parth Patel Fall and winter can be great times to buy.

I have lived in Fairbanks for several years and I’m looking to buy my first investment property sometime this winter or next spring.

My last apartment had a 100 year old unit and every winter the super had to go into the basement every few weeks and bang on it to get it to work. 

@Marc Winter I did consider installing a separate boiler but I worry that it may not pay for itself in the end since this place won't be cash flowing very much.

My real concern is what might happen this winter.

You’re also dealing with holiday isle which has the most restrictions in the entire emerald coast.

If it was a logging show that would work in the winter  we might lock up the Timber deed in July but wait till the log prices rose in Jan..
